The 16th Annual Caicos classic got off to a fast start when the boats found the fish staked up less than a mile off the reef of Fort George Cut, with a number of 350lb plus fish in the mix.

Day one, T&C Team Yellow Boat a 24’ Rampony Captained by Dave Ward released the first Blue Marlin at 8:51 Florida based team Spell bound a 52’ Hatteras skippered by Toby Wiener released their first Blue at 12:07. Yellow Boat keeping the heat on put another Blue Marlin release on the board at 1:30

Day two, Spell Bound scored their second Blue Marlin release at 12:15, with T&C team Hallelujah a 28’ Blackfin skippered by Chris Stubbs hooked up at the same time released their Blue at 12:30

Day three, saw an afternoon bite as Florida based team Southpaw a 62’ Bayliss captained by Carl Muscolino with angler/owner Dan Hibbeln releasing their first Blue Marlin at 4:27. Yellow Boat wasn’t finished as she hooked up at 4:27, three minutes to lines out and released her third Blue Marlin to put the icing on the cake.

Total standings as witnessed by Captains and Observers was Five boats, Seven Blue Marlin releases, six pulled hooks, and eleven knock downs (missed fish)

As always the nightly events were fun as all the teams had a chance to recap their day while enjoying the food and drinks put out by our host restaurants Baci, Tiki Hut & Scooter Bob’s
